I recently met Mihali, the man behind Get Greek Tasmania.

16 months ago he and his family started a food truck. A charcoal grill, loukoumades, halloumi, greek salad, dips and a dream.

Now with Glenorchy City Council planning approval in hand, works are underway to give Get Greek a permanent home at The Old Shipyard  in Derwent Park.

What a spot it is! Indoor and outdoor dining with views across Prince of Wales Bay. Mihali's vision is a safe, welcoming and family friendly casual dining experience that brings visitors to Derwent Park and Goodwood, for locals and tourists alike, with hopes of opening for spring and summer.

This is what happens when people choose Glenorchy. They bring energy, they bring culture, they bring jobs and life to our suburbs.

The van is trading now while The Old Shipyard  takes shape. If you have not tried it yet, go and Get Greek, you will not regret it. Follow on Facebook for Van whereabouts on any given day.

Our job as a council is simple. Back people like Mihali, make it easier to invest here, not harder. Attract the doers and the dreamers and get out of their way.

Derwent Park and Goodwood are on the move. Glenorchy is on the move.

Opa!
