You backed someone who lives in the City of Glenorchy. You backed someone who truly believes in our city. You backed someone who has the courage to speak up, the conviction to stand by their principles & the determination to always put Glenorchy First.

Naturally, I'm disappointed I won't be Mayor. I gave this campaign everything I had because I know what our city is capable of and what we can become.

I'm incredibly humbled and grateful to have been re-elected as Councillor for a second term. It's such a privilege & honour, thank you.

Whether you voted for me or not, my commitment is to every person, every family, every business and every suburb across Glenorchy.

I won't agree with every decision, nor will I oppose things simply for the sake of it. I'll work constructively, ask the tough questions and speak up when I believe our community deserves better.

Being respectful doesn't mean being silent.

To my colleagues who weren't re-elected, thank you. Putting your hand up to serve your community takes courage, time and enormous commitment. Nobody can take away the contribution you've made to improving our city.

Congratulations to Sue Hickey on her re-election as Mayor and to everyone elected to Council for the next four years.

There's important work ahead and I intend to play my part with the same energy, independence and determination I've always brought to the role.
