With the final election results in, I'm grateful to have secured a full quota of first preference votes, enough to be elected as Councillor without relying on preferences from other candidates.

Thank you to everyone who placed their confidence in me, I'm proud of that support and don't take the responsibility lightly.

Congratulations to the other 8 elected Councillors & well done to everyone who put their hand up. Putting yourself out there takes courage, commitment and a willingness to be judged. While the result didn't go your way, you deserve respect, be proud.

The next 4 years will bring opportunities and challenges, with 9 elected representatives bringing different backgrounds, values, experiences and views.

Meaningful progress takes teamwork, respect, accountability and a willingness to work together, even when we disagree.

Being respectful doesn't mean staying silent. Working constructively doesn't mean agreeing with everything. Being united doesn't mean we can't challenge each other.

I'll keep asking difficult questions, challenging decisions when necessary and standing up for what I believe is right, while listening, working constructively.

Proudly Glenorchy. ⚫️⚪️
