THEY'RE FAMILY, NOT JUST PETS! š¶ā¤ļø
This is my son Owen with our dog Maggie. I reckon this photo says more about the bond between kids and dogs than I ever could!
Across Glenorchy, we have nearly 7,000 registered dogs, that's a lot of 4 legged family members bringing happiness to homes across our city.
Dogs benefits go well beyond our homes, they get us outside, keep us active and bring people together. Dog parks aren't just for dogs either. They're places where neighbours catch up, talk, friendships form and communities connect.
That's why I'd like Council to investigate opportunities for more fully fenced dog parks across Glenorchy, as well as improvements to the facilities we already have.
It's not about promising a dog park on every corner, itās about recognising what matters to locals, listening and making practical improvements where they're needed. š¾
